How to beat every DEATH GAME in “SQUID GAMES”

How to beat every DEATH GAME in “SQUID GAMES”

Squid games is the new hit series on Netflix. If you’ve watched the new Netflix hit series, then you will probably see children’s games like Tug of War, Game of Marbles in a new gory fashion.

When we were little kids, playing games like Tug of War was just for fun. The only purpose to play these games was to see who is the winner without thinking of the reward. But the series brings a whole new element to the game by adding money and greed in the factor.

If people are dying left and right to you, your first instinct would be to run the hell out of the situation you’re in. But by adding greed to the factor, people stayed on the game in hope of winning the cash money. People who lose or disobey the rules are eliminated. We can just imagine how stressful these situations might be for any normal person.

The solution to a few of the games is so simple that I was frustrated when the players had to die for silly mistakes. I’m sure you also must have felt the same frustration in the games.

I’ve listed tips and tricks on how to win every game in Squid Game, in case if you ever find yourself stuck in a death match with total strangers.

1. Red Light, Green Light

The concept of this game is very simple. A person should walk forward when the doll is singing and freeze on the spot if it stops singing. Although the concept is simple, half of the people lost their lives in this game.

One reason is that they panicked and the other reason is due to not being able to freeze on the spot. Since the doll can sense motion, everything in motion will be detected and eliminated immediately.

Strategy:

First of all, to win this round, you should take a moment to gather information by letting others walk first. The robotic doll repeats the same sentence before red-light every time. This should allow you enough warning to prepare for your freeze.

When it’s time to freeze, take a wide stance and be in a comfortable position. If your hand shakes a lot then you can either clench into a fist or extend your palm outwards to keep them stable.

Avoid walking on dead bodies when moving forward, otherwise, you may trip and fall. Also, you should maintain distance from other players so that they won’t be able to grab you or use you as a shield.

Standing behind other players to shield yourself might also be a bad idea. This is because, if the player ahead of you gets shot then they might fall upon you. (Let’s face it, we will not be lucky as Seong Gi-hun.)

2. Honey-comb

To beat this game, you’ll have to choose the easiest structure that can be chipped away. But just like the players in-game, it is impossible to know what the structures mean before the game starts anyway.

Strategy:

If you choose a less complex shape, you’ll easily complete the task. The best way to win this game would be like what Seong Gi-hun did.

By licking the honeycomb constantly, you can make it thinner until the structure easily comes out of the comb. Saliva contains an enzyme known as “Amylase” which can break down starch and carbohydrates into simple sugars.

3. Tug of War

Tug of war is one of my favorite sports ever. If you want to win in Tug of War, then following the advice of player 001 will get you killed for sure.

If you are thinking that Tug of War is a game of strength, then you are sadly mistaken, my friend. Allow me to explain how you can win this game easily.

In Tug of War, every player has an important role. This game depends upon your stamina, so be sure to choose who has lots of endurance. The strongest two persons must be on the front and back of the team while others are placed in the middle.

Strategy:

Unlike the series, one of the best ways to win at this game is to turn 180 degrees to the opponent team. Your team should lift the rope to the shoulders and lean forward to change the center of gravity.

Like the paradox of unstoppable force and immovable object, your team will become an immovable object in this game. Stay in this position until the opponent team has lost their endurance. Then your team can pull at the same time and take one step forward to win this round.

Since the game makers didn’t talk about any particular rules, the last player can tie the rope to one of the bars on the side and wait till the other team loses their strength to pull and pull them.

4. Marble Game

In the series, the players use odd or even methods to play this game, which is a game of luck. Since you have no idea of knowing the number of marbles inside the player’s fist, the only option is to guess the correct number of marbles.

Or, the game can either be played like Cho Sang-Woo by tricking your opponent, then taking all their marbles. Of course, you might be saying only a twisted person would do this but hey we are in the Death game trying to survive.

However, you can also win by playing a Chinese game called “Nim.” It is a mathematical strategy game where two players take turns removing matchsticks from piles. On each turn, a player must remove at least one object from the pile.

Netflix/Youngkyu Park

Strategy:

To win by Nim method, first, pile up each other’s marbles together creating a total of 20 marbles in a pile. Secondly, you must always go first.

If another player removes one marble, then you remove two marbles. Likewise, if another player removes two marbles, then you remove one marble.

You may be thinking “Is this it?”. Well yes, it is. By taking the first turn and choosing the exact opposite number to marble to another player, you can dominate this game and get one step closer to winning.

5. Bridge game

Compared to other games, this is a game of chance and probability. There are a total of 18 glass panels on the bridge to walk throughout of which half are lethal. The first competitor has a 1 in 262,144 chance of making it safely across the bridge.

The second player has slightly better odds of 1 in 131072 chance to make it across the bridge.

Netflix/Youngkyu Park

Strategy:

To win this game, there are two options. The first option is to know about glasses and their type and be able to differentiate the type of glass by observing. We all know that this is highly unlikely and not possible at all.

Since the game makers gave no rules about the game, you can collect the shoes left by other players and throw them in the glass one by one to check their durability. Just make sure that you are throwing hard enough, otherwise, the glasses may not break.

If the game makers announce that shoes cannot be used in the middle of the game, then good luck on your own.

6. Squid Game

Squid Game is a popular Korean school game from the 1970s and 1980s. At first, the attacker needs to go into the squid drawing, then run past the defense, and tap the squid’s head with his foot to win. The defender must push the attacker out of the drawing to win. Somehow if one of the players cannot continue playing, the last one standing wins.

Strategy:

Wrap the Tuxedo around your left arm to use as a shield and use your right arm to attack the opponent. A human body has many weak points which include eyes, stomach, groin, solar plexus, feet, knee, and many more.

Hit your opponent in the groin area or their feet as hard as possible with your legs. Their focus will be distracted as they have to bear with the pain, giving you a small window to go offensive.

Then hit your opponent in the stomach as it is easier to slash and plunge the knife. Then run towards the squid and finish the game.

Other Tips for Winning Squid Game:

Let’s say you wake up in an auditorium filled with strangers, and guards come out of nowhere announcing that you are in a death game. The first response of every person would be to panic.

Here are some of my tips to win the squid games:

1. Don’t Panic

You must keep level-headed thinking without giving in to panic and fear. It is easy to get agitated and overreact in such conditions. You should always take deep breaths and remind yourself that everything will be alright.

Netflix/Youngkyu Park

If you are calm then you’ll notice things and information that other players are missing. It is crucial for your survival as you might pick up on small details that can help you win.

2. Observe and Analyze

You must always observe your surroundings to gather information, especially in new places. If only one person looked carefully, then they could have seen the painting of games on the wall. This would certainly give a huge advantage to them.

You should also observe the participants and discern their personalities as it will be helpful to build trust.

3. Build a team that you can trust

Although building a team would be more harmful than beneficial, it does have its merit. In a game where everyone is out to kill each other for prize money, having a small team who you can trust is crucial.

Netflix/Youngkyu Park

A good team can protect you during the night raids and tug of war games. You can share crucial information about the game with each other. But remember that you’ll have to eventually kill them to win the game.

4. Never go first

In a game of unknown, you should never go first to do a task. You should always go to the middle or last place. You can observe other players’ mistakes and formulate a strategy to win the game.

5. Bribe the guards

Netflix/Youngkyu Park

Since the guards on the game are also human beings, you can bribe them to know about upcoming games. You can share your contact number with one of the guards and promise them that you’ll give him 10-20% of your cash if you win.

Even the guards will be tempted and will try to help you to win their share of the money.
